Last Wednesday was Drew's 9th birthday. I honestly cannot believe how quickly time has gone by. It doesn't seem that long ago that he was this tiny, 5 lb baby looking at me with his one eye that would stay open. Now he is this tall, gangly person who tells me not to let his friends see me when I come to school in my running gear. Yes, I am embarrassing him already, but really, he will need some material for the shrink, right?
For his birthday this year, he only wanted to have his one friend Zach from his special needs class over for pizza and cake. He is huge into Star Wars so we had Star Wars decorations and almost every gift was Star Wars related. Grandma and Grandpa Harmer got him an iPod shuffle and he was really excited about that and with the money Grandma and Grandpa Covington sent, he bought some "troops" to go with his Star Wars ship and some other figurines.
