While I was lunging and pressing and doing rollups this morning, I was thinking about what is in store for the weekend.

Today, my parents return from Hawaii so a fresh pineapple and macadamia nuts are coming our way and their dog, who we have been dog sitting AND who peed all over my living room sofa this week, is going home.
I started making croissants this morning and I am looking forward to having a croissant for breakfast on Sunday (they take 3 days to make). Kevin has been requesting lemon bars for weeks now and even though I am hard pressed to make something that doesn't involve chocolate, I am going to make him some lemon lime bars from this cookbook.
If you like to bake at all, I highly recommend this cookbook. Their recipe for brownies is absolutely the best ever and trust me, I have road tested about a gazillion, yes, that is right, a gazillion brownie recipes. I also love their monster cookie recipe, the brewer's malt blondies, the lemon drop cake and more.
We are planning on hitting Marco's, my favorite coal fired pizza joint this weekend and I am also looking forward to spending as much time as possible this weekend snuggled up with my husband forgetting about my peed on couch and upcoming IEP testing.

Yay! I found your blog, I couldn't for the lie of me remember where the link was... Fresh Pineapple and Macadamia Nuts sound great! I hope you are all well. I hope to make it out your way sometime next month. Enjoy the boys!
Scott, glad you found us again and let us know when you will be in town, we would love to see you.
PLEASE send me the brownie recipe. If you say so, it must be true!
Amy, I will email you the recipe later today. They are seriously the best ever!
2 weeks? Wow. And you are pretty calm about the whole thing. I don't know if I could even handle one day!! Actually I know I can't. :) Maybe a brownie would help me get through it though?
Have a lovely Sunday!
Ashley, trust me, I do lose it but I have also been at this for his whole academic career so I almost expect this crap anymore.
Ameena, 2 weeks is a lot for me too and just as predicted, by Monday, they were driving me batty.
