"C'mon guys! It's all ball bearings nowadays!"

We spent last week at my parent's cabin in the mountains of Utah. This was Ella's first time at the cabin and I am pretty sure she thought she had died and gone to Vizsla heaven. She exhausted herself everyday running full tilt and hunting down every bird, squirrel, mouse and various other varmints she could find. She even managed to scare up a moose on two occasions. We were happy to see, in those instances, that she is smart enough to know when she is outclassed and didn't attempt to chase the moose.

Last Friday, we woke up and put her outside to use the facilities. She immediately ran over to my dad's car and was shoving her head up in the front wheel well like she was going to change the tires or something. She then started pawing the side of the car. We scolded her and tried to get her to move on but she was stuck on the car. Finally, it occurred to us smell impaired humans that maybe there was something in the car. My dad popped the hood and sure enough, during the night some little animal had decided Ford makes a cozy home and had built itself a nest of leaves on the battery of my dad's car. My dad put Ella up on the engine of the car and she shoved her head down in there and out of the bottom of the car came a small mouse. Looks like she has a promising future in varmint extraction.

*Bonus points for anyone who know what the title of this post is from*
